HOW TO ENABLE BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION FOR YOUR BCLUB LOGIN
Biometric login slashes friction while locking out credential-stuffing bots brianclub. These steps work for iOS 15+, Android 9+, and any desktop browser that supports WebAuthn.
PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS BEFORE YOU START
**VERIFY YOUR DEVICE HAS A SECURE ENCLAVE**
Open Settings > Security > Device Encryption on Android or Settings > Face ID & Passcode on iOS. If you see “Hardware-backed” or “Secure Enclave” in the description, your biometric data stays on-device and never hits bclub servers.
**UPDATE BCLUB APP TO VERSION 3.7.2 OR LATER**
Force-quit the app, open the App Store or Play Store, search “bclub”, tap the three-dot menu, and select “Update”. Version 3.7.2 patches a WebAuthn race condition that could lock you out after three failed attempts.
**CLEAR CACHED CREDENTIALS FROM PREVIOUS LOGINS**
On desktop, open Chrome://settings/clearBrowserData, select “Cached images and files” and “Passwords and other sign-in data”, then hit “Clear data”. On mobile, go to App Info > Storage > Clear Cache. This prevents stale tokens from interfering with the biometric handshake.
**DISABLE VPN OR PROXY FOR THE FIRST SETUP**
Biometric enrollment uses a direct TLS 1.3 tunnel to bclub’s auth endpoint. Temporarily turn off any VPN or proxy to avoid certificate pinning errors. You can re-enable it after the initial setup completes.
STEP-BY-STEP ENABLEMENT ON MOBILE
**TOGGLE BIOMETRIC LOGIN IN THE APP SETTINGS**
Launch the bclub app, tap your profile icon in the top-right, scroll to “Security”, then “Biometric Login”. Flip the switch; the app will prompt you to authenticate with your current password.
**REGISTER YOUR FACE OR FINGERPRINT ONCE PER DEVICE**
After the password prompt, the app opens the native biometric enrollment screen. Position your face in the oval or lift your finger off the sensor between scans—three successful scans are required before the app accepts the template.
**TEST THE FLOW WITH A FAKE LOGIN ATTEMPT**
Lock your phone, wake it, and tap the bclub app icon. The splash screen should immediately show a fingerprint or face icon. If you see a password field instead, force-quit the app and repeat the enrollment.
**SET A 30-SECOND INACTIVITY TIMEOUT**
In the same “Security” menu, tap “Auto-Lock” and choose 30 seconds. This ensures the biometric prompt reappears if you switch apps mid-session, preventing session hijacking from backgrounded tabs.
DESKTOP & CROSS-PLATFORM TRICKS
**USE CHROME OR EDGE FOR WEBAUTHN SUPPORT**
Firefox and Safari lag on FIDO2 extensions. Open bclub.cm in Chrome, click the padlock icon in the address bar, and ensure the connection shows “Certificate (Valid)” and “Secure (HTTPS)”.
**ENROLL YOUR YUBIKEY OR TOUCH ID DONGLE**
Plug the dongle into a USB-A port, navigate to bclub.cm/settings/security, and click “Add Security Key”. Chrome will prompt you to tap the key; do so within 10 seconds to avoid a timeout error.
**CREATE A BACKUP PASSKEY ON A SEPARATE DEVICE**
On your phone, open bclub app > Security > Passkeys > “Add Passkey”. Scan the QR code displayed on your desktop screen. This lets you log in from a borrowed laptop without exposing your primary biometric.
**DISABLE LEGACY 2FA IF YOU’RE USING BIOMETRICS**
In the same security menu, toggle off “SMS 2FA” and “TOTP”. Biometric login already provides phishing-resistant MFA, so legacy methods only add attack surface.
TROUBLESHOOTING COMMON GLITCHES
**RESET BIOMETRIC TEMPLATES AFTER A PHONE SWAP**
If you migrate to a new device, open bclub app > Security > Biometric Login > “Reset Templates”. Re-enroll your face or fingerprint; the old templates are cryptographically wiped from bclub’s servers.
**FIX “BIOMETRIC NOT RECOGNIZED” ERRORS**
